Colour Inspiration at Love to Create Challenge - GDT

Hi everyone,

It's a very exciting day for me here.....awhile back I was asked to GD for the fabulous
Love to Create Challenge and of course said yes :)  Today's the day I get to show you what I've made.
Thank you so much for having me...it's an honour.

The awesome A Day for Daisies (ADFD) are the sponsor for this Challenge #71 and supplied us with our digi's.  I've used "Blessing the Spring Fairy" and she can be found here.  The theme is a colour inspiration.

This beauty was coloured with Copics. DP is Graphic 45 and the feather is from Bella Blvd. Spellbinders Grand Circles and Grand Decorative Circles One dies used.

The seam binding was dyed using SU Certainly Celery ink, misted with water.   Lace ribbon and flower are from WOC but the flower ribbon is a Tim Holtz.    DecoArt Glamour Dust used on her wings.

Here is the box I made to hold the card.
It measures 7x7 and is 1/2 inch deep.
The doily square was cut using MS Punch-        Around-The-Page. I cut 2 MB Bella Bouquet dies, added a large white feather and rhinestone swirls to the top.  Another bow made from seambinding and WOC flowers as well as one from the $ Store.   I put ribbon from Michaels around the edge of the box.

Here are the challenges I  would like to enter:

Catered Crop - Dies & Punches
Red Carpet Studio #42 - Going Digital

We would love it you got a chance to play along with us this time at Love to Create
and please check out the wonderful inspiration from the DT.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Wedding at the Belle Challenge

Hi everyone,   I hope your week is going well and that you're enjoying some great, almost summer, weather.   I had a fabulous day yesterday.  I went cross border shopping with a friend and it always includes a visit to the wonderful Buffalo Stamps craft store, JoAnn's Crafts and then lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.  I picked up some of the new Graphic 45 papers and a lot of bargains as well.....came home a very tired but happy shopper!  Can't wait to get crafty with my new stuff!

Today starts a new challenge at the Belle Challenge and the theme is Wedding.

I've used a favourite LOTV stamp called Wedding Couple that I coloured with Copics.   Sorry about the wonky photo. This one really gave me a challenge. After many tries, and different backgrounds,  I still was not able to capture the soft mint green colour very well.

Here is the front of the easel card.  Aren't they a cute couple!

I've used a lot of dies for this card, starting with Marianne Designs Anja die for the base white outline then the scallop die for the green portion.  Using the largest die of the Spellbinders Small Cirles, I cut out the center of the green sheet and added the lattice which was cut using the Spellbinders Basic Lattice die.   I then added the green circle, I had removed, behind the lattice.  This layer was added with dimensions onto the white and green layer that was machine stitched using zig zag.
The Martha Stewart ribbons are both from my stash, with the exception of the white lattice ribbon on the inside.  That was a gift from a friend..thanks Helen.  Flowers are WOC and pearls from my stash as well. Sentiment is a rubber stamp that I'm afraid I don't know the mfg.

I intend to enter the following challenges:
Everybody-Art-Challenge - Wedding
Inky Chicks Challenge #6 - Love
MIM #145

Thanks so much for stopping by and your lovely comments are always appreciated.

Beary Sick....

Hi everyone,
As I mentioned in an earlier post, my oldest granddaughter, who turned 11 in April, was visiting for the weekend.    We coloured, cut and glued  till the lights went out!

Here is one of the cards she created and I thought it was perfect for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge which is a special one for children's entries..    I let all the girls use my Copics....you can always buy new nibs :)    The image selection (she loves animals) colouring, paper choice and design is all her own...    This is one of the first cards she made.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Father's Day

Hi everyone, hope this finds you well and that perhaps you're enjoying some crafting time.

We've a new challenge starting today at the Belli Challenge and the theme is "Father's Day".

I've used another of my favourite Delicious Doodles images called "Working the Land" and it can be found here.  I printed the image on Bazzill walnut cream cs and then cut it out using Spellbinders Label One die. Next I distressed very lightly inside the frame using Tim Holtz pumice stone distressed ink, then mounted it on Spellbinders Scalloped Labels One in brown.

The design paper is a sheet from Graphic 45 - A Proper Gentleman collection and I've been hoarding it for some time.  It is a 12x12 so I still have some left:)   My old items are the felt ribbon which was a SU clearance item, the burgundy corrugated paper from the Dollar Store, and the metal button.  I've added a Tim Holtz buckle (lovin these) and the chipboard buttons are from Graphic 45. I used my K&Company Label Maker to create the words.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
  1. ABC Challenges - Masculine
  2. Created with Love Challenge - Anything Goes
  3. Digi Darla Challenge #65 - Masculine
  4. Love to Create Challenge #68- Father's Day
  5. Melonheadz Friends - Father's Day
  6. My Craft Spot Challenge #100 - Dad
  7. Creative Craft Challenges2 - For the Fellas
  8. Anything Goes Challenge #94 - Father's Day
