You and Me - Belli Wedding & Some exciting news

Pretty exciting post for me today.  A few weeks ago I won a challenge at the Creative Belli Blog.  This means I am the Guest Designer on their current Challenge #144 and.... are you ready for this....I have been asked to join the Design Team....wooohooo!  I'm the new Belli Girl !!   Thank you so much for this opportunity and Darsie, you're lovely...thank you, thank you!  I am so impressed on how well this challenge is managed and look forward to working with the talented women on the team.

I have chosen a Tiddly Inks digital stamp called You and Me for this card. The arch was made with the Spellbinders Layered Elegant Swirl die.  I find I'm using that a lot lately.  Flowers are WOC and I've been hoarding that delicious ribbon for about 4 years now.  I only bought a wee bit of it at the time because of the cost and added Fray Block to the cut ends to prevent fraying.   The 2 hearts die was borrowed from a very good friend and is called Love Language from Cuttlebug.  Diamond Dust was applied to add some bling.  DP is English Rose Collection from Kaisercraft.

Inside is decorated as well.

Copics:
Skin:  E11, E000, E000, R20
Dress:  E50, E51, E53
Suit:  C7, C5, C3, C1
Hair:  E21, E29, E25, E23

This card is going to a friend who asked me to make a wedding card for July.  I asked her in advance the hair colours of the bride and groom and that's what determined the brown hair.

I will be entering this card into the Tiddly Inks Challenge #87 which is asking for flowers, Party Time Tuesday #70 is Anything Goes, My Time to Craft #180 is 2 of something the same and I think the hearts will work here.  Incy Wincy Designs has a vintage theme and Kaboodle Doodles theme is Anything Goes so this card will fit these as well.  Make it Monday #91 - anything goes as always.  I will link these up shortly.

Thanks so much for stopping by and your lovely comments are always appreciated.  Hugs, Pat K.

Rose - Delicious Doodles

Happy Memorial Day Weekend to all my US friends and hope my Ozzie friends enjoyed their national holiday yesterday as well.

The monthly challenge at St.Lukes Charity Card Challenge is one layer.  I found that sooo hard and it's taken me 3 weeks to come up with a card (lol) but it's good to challenge yourself right.  I was so nervous to stamp the sentiment because if I messed that up , well you know what that means!  Note to self....stamp the sentiment before colouring!  This is my first time colouring Delicious Doodles "Rose" digital.  I used Copics T1 around the image to give it a slight shadow.

Now, please ignore the smudge (left hand corner)...oh I know you're looking - your eye is drawn right to it!  I've used digitals for so long, I've forgotten how inky I get !!  I dry embossed the edges with Spellbinders Grand Templates by Donna-Salazar called Creative Book Pages Two.  Sentiment is from another set of Amy R. Stamps

 Copics:  R29, R27, R24, R22 and E09

I'll also be entering this card into the Little Miss Muffet Challenge #35 - Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Pat K.

Friends Forever - Delicious Doodles

Wow, another great day here - should hit 27 deg. C.  Hard to shake this virus which has left me with an annoying cough - might just stay inside today :(

This card came together quickly.  I used a digi from Delicious Doodles and was drawn to the horse image. Not sure if I did him (gotta be a stallion) justice with my colouring though.

Sorry, I didn't keep track of the Copic colours.   The flowers are from WOC, MS fern punch and the lace from my stash.  The horseshoe is a Jolee's Boutique - French General.     I hope to enter this into Crafting Your Days Away Challenge #45  they would like to see "Creatures Great & Small" and The Squirrel & The Fox Challenge #18  which is "friends".   Lastly I will add this to MIM #90 which is always Anything Goes.

That's it for today - thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Pat K.

Siren of Pearls - What a Treasure

Hi friends,
Sorry I've been away - nasty virus hit our house so I've been a little under-the-weather!

I did manage to get back to my craft room over the Victoria Day long weekend and create a little something from Make it Crafty called Siren of Pearls.   Colouring that hair cheered me up a bit!

I’ve had this design paper for quite some time and thought now was a good time to cut into it. The paper is Chiyogami – I found it at my local art supply store.   The sentiment is Amy R Stamps for C.C.Designs.    I cut the Cheery Lynn large Sunflower Doily die and added another layer using Spellbinders large scallop die.     I used the Cheery Lynn Olive Branches die as seaweed.

To give the mermaid a "fish scale" effect I used my blender pen and dotted over the coloured
image.  Image was outlined with TI, T0 and finished with 0

Beach Babe

Well, for a crafter the unthinkable happened on Friday!  I was putting the final touches on the inside of London's birthday card...ya,  the one that took me over an hour to colour the hair, and I knocked over a glass of water on my craft table.  Did you hear the scream!   The lovely journal had black ink running all over it and at first I thought the image was okay, but that was only wishful thinking.  She had a very black eye!  What to do.....I had less than an hour before the party!    I quickly reprinted the tag (luckily I saved it on my pc) and that was no problem colouring, cutting and glueing over the ruined one.  But the eye..well I reprinted the image, coloured the face and found a section of hair that I could cut around and mount on the original image - saved just in the nik of time!   Not my best work but London loved it and that made everything okay!  And the lesson is....don't leave everything until the last minute.  But I'm like the cartoon Calvin and Hobbs quote  ...''You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet, you have to be in the right mood.  What mood is that - well last minute panic!''   :D

Now, enough of my tales - on with today's card.   I've used "Beach Babe" from Saturated Canary - isn't she cute!   DP is October Afternoon Cherry Hill with SU coral cameo and wild wasabi.  Dies are Die-Namics.  I turned the umbrella into a beach umbrella :)  ...and put a little sunburn on her nose!

London's Birthday

Hi everyone,
Hope all is well with you and yours.  I want to welcome my newest followers - thank you so much for coming along on my crafting journey.

Today's card is for our youngest granddaughter London.  I've used Krista Smith's digital called Rapunzel a Princess by Saturated Canary.   This was London's choice - she was all over the hair - pleading...please can I have her on my card.  I do love her enthusiasm and hope to surprise her this weekend.    The Ornate Floral Frame digi stamp is from Make It Craft. Greeting was printed in Word.    The frame is a SB Romantic Rectangles die, MS lattice punch was used - going for a ladder type look here?   DP is the remainer of the Pion 12x12 sheet, with SU Close to Cocoa and Blush Blossom (so sad they discontinued that colour).

I fussy cut Rapunzel and used my Copic 100 marker to go around the edges, trying to remove any white.  Both the frame and image were popped up on dimensionals.  Little girls must have sparkle, so here we have it on the ribbon, a Dollar Store find.   Tim Holtz distressed ink "Tattered Rose" was used on the edges of the papers. NO roses or bows - I tried honestly, but felt it was just too busy with them and they would hide that gorgeous frame (imho).

 Copics:   Skin colours:  E11, E01, E000, R20
Hair:  E57, 59, 55, E49

Expect to enter the following challenges:

Saturated Canary Challenge #16 - Birthday
