~~ Hello ~~

Hi everyone,
I hope you had a great weekend.
We've had so much rain lately it was wonderful to finally see the sun yesterday.
Lake Ontario is at an all time high with lots of flooding around the shoreline,
covering beaches and parkland. Hopefully it will recede but with more
rain expected it might take awhile.

..on to business.  Today starts a new challenge at
where we have the fabulous
Crafty Ribbons sponsoring, offering a great prize to the winner.

The theme this month is "Ribbon and Rubber"
We would like to see you use a rubber stamp or ribbon on your creation
and remember..it must be cute.

I stamped this cute stamp with Memento Grey Ink and
coloured her using Copics.
She is called "Little Sprout" and is from Art Impressions

Design paper is StampinUp, velvet ribbon from my stash.
Silk ribbon used for the bow
Hello die is from Simon Says Stamp
Lace Oval is Cheery Lynn Designs Die DL136

Girlfriends

Good day everyone and welcome.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend and Happy Mother's Day to those of you who are celebrating.

Is everyone else crazy busy this time of year.  We've had so much going on lately I've not had much time in my craft room but when I saw the Art Impressions Challenge to use "The Theory of Negativity" I remembered I had coloured this image up and this challenge was the inspiration I needed. The negative part of the Memory Box Oceana Border die was used and I quite like how it turned out.

These gals are so like my friends and if anyone is wondering...I'm the one in the big hat!  You will always find me on the beach wearing my Tilley, hiding under a big umbrella.

More details:
MFT Umbrella die in Kraft paper, backed by SU Baja Breeze
 DP is also Stampin Up
   Sentiment created in Word
Copic Multi Liner 0.3 used to create the scroll border
 Corduroy buttons are from SU

Thank you so much for stopping by. I really do appreciate your visits.

Pastels at the Belli Challenge

Good day all.
Welcome to another blog post and thank you so much for stopping by.
I do hope your week is going better than mine. A little drama in my crafting world with a broken Grand Calibur.  I was unable to complete the inside of this card as planned because the plates and die are stuck in the machine. The handle will not move and there are bits rolling around inside! Yikes! Spellbinders customer service are looking into the problem.  If anyone knows of a better alternative to the GC, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

On the brighter side I was able to complete the front for our new challenge at the
  Belli Challenge

Darsie would like to see Pastels on your creations for this Challenge #167

I've used an adorable Tilda on my card today and she has been coloured with Copics.
Spellbinders Grand Labels One and Grand Decorative Labels One used for the shape.

For the Top layer I stamped a LaBlanche floral stamp in SU Certainly Celery then embossed with SU Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. These have been neglected for quite some time....how does that happen:)
Stickles Cotton Candy added to the flowers and butterflies
Ribbon from my stash
SB Back to Basics Tags - sentiment in Word
MS Butterfly punches

Bugaboo at Fab'n'Funky

Good morning all.  I hope your week is going well!
I'd like to extend a warm welcome to my new followers. I'm honoured that you've chosen to join me and I hope you find something that perhaps will inspire you in some small way.

Today starts a new challenge at
and we are sponsored by the wonderful
and

It's our fabulous, multi talented, super busy owner, Judith's turn to host this week and she has chosen
Cute and Cuddly as the theme.

We were fortunate enough to select a stamp of our choice from Bugaboo and I chose Ava Mermaid.  Two of our granddaughters are off to Florida this week for March Break and one will be celebrating her 10th birthday there so I thought she might like this card.  This is not the shape I had originally planned but I went back to my favourite 6x6 square card.   I used Alyce's tutorial that can be found here to help when it came to colouring Ava's tail!    Spellbinder ovals and Back to Basics Tags, MB Big Splash Border, along with CB Divine Swirl embossing folder were all used on this card.  The rosettes are from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  To colour the cheesecloth, I stamped TH Evergreen Bough Distressed Ink on my TH craft sheet, spritzed it with water to dilute and then added the cheesecloth....let dry and there you have it...perfectly coloured to match my SU Bermuda Bay cardstock.

I hope you have a chance to check out the challenge, see the wonderful creations my team mates have made and play along with us if you can.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
 Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Through the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
Created with Love Challenge #31 - Anything Goes

Don't wanna be a grown up !!

Good day all,

Another gorgeous fall day out, perfect for the Terry Fox run/walk that passes my house about this time every year.  All of the students and staff from the local High School participate.   You can hear them coming before you see them....all talking and having a good time.  I'm always impressed how respectful they are but must admit, I appreciate when it's over .....back to my peace and quiet :)

For my card share today I've made an easel card using a very cute image from Mo Manning called "Talk to the Bear".  Isn't she just the best !    The lattice ribbon is a gift from a friend...you might be seeing a lot more of it in future:)   I laced pink ribbon thru the openings and then added some teddy bear ribbon on top.  The sentiment is a freebie from Ginger's House.  The white panel has been embossed with SU Square Lattice folder.

Here is closeup:

Fab n Funky Challenge #137 - Colours of Autumn

Good morning all,

WOW, Wednesday already....that's what happens when you have a long weekend!   I'm scheduling this post as I will be out for the day with my cousin.  We are taking a trip down memory lane you might say...to cottage country to visit an area where we spent the summers as children.   It's sure to be a fun day .... I hope you get to do something special too!

...on to business... It's time for a new Challenge at Fab n Funky.  This week our lovely, talented hostess Pat has asked us to use the Colours of Autumn on our projects.   Our fabulous sponsor is  My Creative Classroom and they have a wonderful prize for our winner this week.

I couldn't resist colouring up a new digi from Mo Manning called Fall Fairy Jesen.  I did a little distressing on this one too.....not my usual, I know.

Here is a view of the inside.    I like to print a digi on the inside.  I cannot take credit for the idea....I saw it done a few years ago and unfortunately do not know who originated it.  The little acorn is a stamp from an old SU set.

Details:
DP - Recollections "Autumn" 8x8 pad
Burlap:  7 Gypsies Trading Card taken apart and frayed
Rafia - scraps from a bouquet I received
Co-ordinations paper used on one layer, embossed and distressed
