We are back from our Summer break with a new challenge for you.

It's Fab'n'Funky's 600th post so we are celebrating with a lovely prize for one lucky entrant.

Exciting day here, as I write this post, we have just watched virtually our first Granddaughter 
graduate from the UofT this afternoon with Honours, making the Deans list.  

So proud of her and yes I shed some tears of joy.

(the card is actually purple tones..not blue as photographed..oh well)

**** 595 For a Child, Baby or Teen ****

 Hello folks, hope all is well.

A few sunny days forcasted this week which is always welcome. Great weather for taking a walk along the paths close to the lake but they have become a little hazardous due to the coyote population that has adapted so well to urban living here.  Time to get that whistle or better still walk on the main streets in town but oh that is not nearly as picturesque.

***Simply Cuties***

 Hello folks,

Lots of excitement around here today.  Crowds of folks (hubby and I included) gathered along the lake to view the Solar Eclipse this afternoon.  Even the schools in town were closed for the day.What a spectacular, once in a lifetime event. We were fortunate to meet a few astronomers with all their cameras set up.  They were projecting with their cameras the eclipse onto a screen.  Fascinating to watch.

On to my post today for which I am very late.    So sorry for my tardiness.

We had our holiday dinner on Good Friday to accomodate the granddaughters who are home for the weekend but returning to Uni on Sunday.   Sure was a treat to have them home for a few days.

 Hello folks,

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Winter winds blowing off the lake make it feel even colder than it is today. On my morning walk I noticed the large willow tree in the bay was beginning to bloom.  Signs of Spring always make me smile.

Today at the

I've chosen to make an easel Birthday Card using a lot of what I think of as Spring Green.

We've had a few sunny days here this week...feels wonderful after the gloomy January we experienced.

I've chosen to paper piece a die cut.  I first cut the Whimsy Stamps die using the dark green paper, then cut the watercolour design paper using the same die. Then I hand the flowers, finished the edges with MFT ink.
