~~~Peace~~~ at Sweet Stampin

Hi everyone,
Oops....So sorry!.I'm late with today's post.  
I really am kicking myself as I've had this card made for awhile,
 but life just gets away from you sometimes.

So without further adieu, I would like to tell you about a new challenge that started today at

Sweet Stampin Challenge

with a fun theme for you.
It's all about Peace, Love & Hippie Days.  

I've coloured a digital stamp by Paper Shelter
called "Charmingly Hippie Girl" available here in the shop.



Another CAS design ...these are really growing on me!
Coloured with Copics - I use T2, T1 and T0 for the shading.
Sorry I did not keep track of the other colours.

DT Card - The Paper Shelter Challenge #136

Hi everyone,

I'm back again as promised with my second post for the day.

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is "Winter Fun"

I've used a lovely digi called  The Beautiful Skier and she can be found here.
I kept my card quite simple...no glitter...just white snow and blue sky.
... the wintery die cuts create the scene for this beauty.

Easel Christmas Card

Hi everyone,

I'm back again this morning with another post...this time for The Paper Shelter Challenge #134

Autumn cutie

Hi everyone,

Okay, I'm back again as promised with my little surprise.  A few days ago the winners of the DT call at the fabulous Paper Shelter Challenge were announced.... and I was selected.  Thank you everyone for your good luck wishes ...they worked (smile).    It's an honour to create with these wonderful images and I'm so happy to be a member of this great group of crafters.



My official start date was not until next week but Marie, our lovely team leader, told us we could jump in early....so here I am with my first card using Autumn Leaves that can be found here. I really enjoyed colouring this cutie with Copics.   The challenge this week is to use stitching....real or faux.


Card base was made using MS Cherish punches starting with a 6.75" square.
The flowers are from WOC and leaf dies are cut using SB Foliage dies.
The ribbon is from my stash and the berries are from Michaels...last years Christmas clearance.
DP is a old stack from Recollections called Autumn

Sassy Teacher card for DT call at Paper Shelter

Hi Everyone,
What a hot day today for us...record breaking temps expected so I'm hiding in my craft room.
 Any excuse to postpone the dreaded housework!

I've a card to share that I'm entering into the DT call at the fabulous Paper Shelter Challenge.  I LOVE their digital images and couldn't wait to colour up this Sassy Teacher for a friend who is a retired school teacher.  There are so many entries in this call....please wish me luck.


The papers are from the wonderful Graphic 45 An ABC Primer Collection.
 TH Black Soot and vintage photo distressed inks added to the edges.  
 Image coloured with Copics.  I went over the blackboard with C00 before I added the greens...this is a tip I found on the ubber talented Shelby's blog.  I was aiming for a distressed look.

Boys Will Be Boys

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to my new followers. I'm so happy you chose to join me.   I must apologize for not being around these last few days.  Life's been kinda crazy with dance recitals, doctors appointments and a lovely 4 day visit with our oldest granddaughter which is always such a pleasure.....but I'm back now and can't wait to make the rounds and visit you all!

In the meantime...I do have a few exciting things happening for me and the first is I was accepted as a new DT member of the wonderful Cards for Men Challenge.  I find I really enjoy making masculine cards so thought this would be a good fit for me to join this great team.

One adorable Cavalier!

Hi everyone! We are having fabulous weather for our May 24 long weekend.   Hope the sun is shining where you are too!

I've a card to show you today that uses a pre-coloured image!   When I saw this cutie called The Most Adorable Cavalier in the Paper Shelter shop...... I couldn't resist. 







I printed the image again on the inside corner for added interest.  DP is Grapic 45 Secret Garden.  Pearl swirls from my stash.   MB Victoria Frame and Spellbinder Ovals, and Scallop Oval dies used.   Ribbon and flower are Websters Pages.   Sentiment printed in Word.  Tim Holtz Distressed Ink Tattered Rose used around the image, Copics C2, C1, C0 used for a shadow under the image.
