Christmas at Fab'n'Funky

Hello everyone,

Today it's time for another Christmas challenge, hosted by our lovely N-Eva at

Yes, I've been shopping again, this time with a purchase of Birch Press Design dies called Trina Snowflake.  This set comes with 3 dies that coordinate to make this lovely snowflake. I've used some starkly blue paper along with navy and gold.  The sentiment is a Memory Box die. Frame from Spellbinder. As is usually the case with shiny makes, this looks so much better in real life.

 Good day folks,

Hope you are enjoying the weekend.

I've a just for fun card today for you and it's another slimline.

This one involved a lot of colouring, both with pencils and markers. I was not happy with how it was going so just kept on adding pencil layers until I was somewhat satisfied.  Hubby liked it. The stamp is from Stampendous, banner die and sentiment stamp, Lawn Fawn.

 Hello everyone,

Hope your are all doing well.  Weather has changed again so we are back into winter.  
I bundle up and take walks along the lake shore. I did get a glimpse of the snowy owl

 perched up high watching all the folks enjoying the day. Interesting there were no Canada Geese, ..could it be our visitor from the arctic keeping them away?

I've created another slimline card for this challenge. These little gnomes are from an MFT stamp and die set.  I've coloured them with Copics.  The background was made using Distress Oxide ink.  I still need some practice with backgrounds so I'm going to try using my brayer on the next card.

 Hello everyone,

Hope you had a good weekend and that the sun was shining for you.

Today I have a just for fun card.

It's a cas birthday card using a couple of cuties from MFT "Mice Day to Celebrate" stamp and die set.  Stamps are coloured with Copics.  TH Distress Oxide ink  Speckled Egg used on the MFT Small Brick Wall stencil.  HB sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps.

I've used a die by Cheery Lynn Designs to create the doily, topped off with a MFT die and Lawn Fawn Banner die and stamp.  Sentiment stamped in VersaMark Sepia Ink. Background embossed with SU folder. Machine stitched around the edges and there you have it.

I did not intend to use yellow when I coloured this image but after pulling out some stencils and Distress Oxide inks the colour  just seemed to fit.   Square and sunray stencil are also from MFT.

Hello, hope your weekend is going well.

I've not been in a crafty mood these last few weeks and apologize for not visiting. My mojo left and I've no idea where it has gone. I have a list of cards that need to be made and have been procrastinating which is not unusual.  I do hope I get out of this slump soon.   

It's been snowing here for the last couple of days...everything looks so pretty covered in white.  With Valentines and my birthday coming up there should be some flowers arriving soon which is sure to make me smile. I do love having fresh bouquets around the house....and yes, hubby has been well trained...bless him.

now on to business...We are starting a new challenge at

We had a lovely day yesterday with an outdoor visit with our granddaughters.    We took a walk along the lake shore and were fortunate to see the Snowy Owl that has taken up residence along the break wall. So exciting to see and he is gorgeous.

Hello friends,

Hope you are all well and coping.  We are still in lockdown making it a very long winter. But there is hope...yesterday was Ground Hog Day and Wiarton Willie the famous Canadian groundhog did appear and saw his shadow, which legend has it means we will have an early spring here in Ontario. I just hope he was wearing a face mask..what with all the camera's around...lol

I have coloured with Copics and Faber Polychromos Pencils a new stamp for me from MFT
called Magnolia Blossoms. I waited for a sale and am so happy with my purchase.   The sentiment is an old stamp from the Inkadinkado set Nature & Floral.  I've stamped the image and sentiment with Memento London Fog. It gives a softer look than using black I think.

Hello folks,

Hope your weekend is going well and that you are safe. 

Today starts a new challenge at

"Sweet Stampin Challenge"

where we have the theme of "Thank You"

I've pulled out some oldies but goodies. I've had these dies and rubber stamps for many years and still love the elegant look they add to cards.  

I used glossy gold cardstock for the background and stamped Spellbinder Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty stamp with versamark, added gold embossing powder before heat embossing.  This stamp set uses the Spellbinder Labels Twenty die which I used to cut out the label.  I stamped the sentiment with dark grey ink.  Ribbon is from my stash.   The Spellbinder die used for the background is Tapestry.
