~~~ The Cutie Pie Challenge ~ One for the Boys
Hi everyone,
It's time for a new challenge at
The Cutie Pie Challenge #132
 where our lovely Sarah is hosting.
The theme will be "Card for a Boy, or for that Special Boy.
I've coloured with Copics a digital image from Whimsy Stamps
called "Gecko Love".  Another Crissy Armstrong design.
I think my hubby will have a smile on his face when
he sees this one.  It will remind him of our recent trip to Aruba
where gecko's and iguana joined us daily at the pool garden.
Another cas design.  Again I've created the sentiment in word.
I really am rubbish at stamping.
I use a scrap piece of paper to test my measurements as to where it should print,
that way I do not ruin a good piece of cardstock.  Frame cut using a MFT die
then adhered with pop dots for dimension.
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I do hope you can stop by the blog and see the wonderful
inspiration from my talented team mates, and play along with us
if you can.
hugs,
A Valentine
Good day everyone,
How's your week going?  We've had a dumping of snow the last few days but all is good
...the sun is shining and the ground is sparkling in the sunlight....cold but quite pretty.
It's Wednesday and that means there is a new challenge starting at
This was not a problem for me as I love to layer on my card.
I've used the beautiful "Valentina" that can be found here.
that I requested from my very patient and lovely team mate Nikki.
Kisses
Hi everyone,
I hope you've had a good week so far. Sorry I haven't been around to visit you all but I've been preoccupied with the Olympics this week and have sadly neglected my blog.
My plan is to visit you all later today.
Now on to business...it's Wednesday and that means a new Challenge at
Our lovely Dawn has chosen this week's theme
 Love/Valentine
Here is my response to the challenge with a clean but not-so-simple design.
I spent more time doing this card than if there were several layers but am finally happy with the results.  It was a little tricky adding the digital sentiment placed just right after it was coloured...a little planning beforehand wouldn't have gone amiss.
We have the fabulous Paper Shelter sponsoring us this week.
There is a great prize for the winner so I do hope you can play along.
I've use the very cute digi called Kisses that can be found here.
Card Details:
6x6"square
Coloured with Copics
SB Curved Borders Two
Sentiment from TLC
Entering the following challenges:
That Craft Place Challenge - Valentine
The Squirrel and The Fox Challenge #63 - Love
A Gem of A Challenge #112 - All you need is Love
Catch The Bug Challenge - February - Love
Crafty Calender Challenge - Love is All Around
Digi Galore Challenge - Valentine
My Sheri Crafts #126  - Valentine
Suzy Bee's Bloomin Challenge #15 - Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by.
Loving Critter for My Valentine
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well.  We're still in an arctic freeze but the sun is shining as I'm scheduling this post so no complaints today.  My granddaughters were hoping for a snow day Wed. as we ended up with 30 cm of snow but only the buses were canceled so it was classes as usual....three sad faces in the morning I was told. Everyone needs a day off to play!
A new challenge starts today at
and the theme chosen by Lisa is "Hey Cutie" .
Our sponsor this week is Doodle Pantry  and I've used one of the digi's from the Loving Critters collection for this Valentine card.   I thought I would give this to my dh so no bows or frills.
Details:
DP - Echo Park Yours Truly
MS heart punch
SB Heart Circles die
SB Small Circles (2nd largest used)
Coloured with Copics
Glossy Accents added to his beak
Glamour Dust
I would like to enter the following challenges:
