Hello folks,

Today I have a card for the new challenge at

Sweet Stampin

where we have the theme of "Last Minute Christmas"

Now this was a test for me...yes I am always last minute but instead of taking hours to create, this gem was made in less than 15 minutes!  It took longer for me to decide what I was going to do.  I've cut the tree using a very old Spellbinder die that might just be given a little more love.

SU sentiment stamped with versamark then embossed with gold embossing powder.
Cut out using the coordinating die.  Background embossed with SU softly falling folder
The photo doesn't do justice.. the gold is very shiny which looks great against the black.

where we would like you to show us your Favourite Stamp

I have coloured with copics a very old  favourite Magnolia stamp.

I purchased this stamp in 2010 and made a Christmas card for my twin sister

as I thought it looked like these two were twins.  

It was great to pull it out of its hiding place and give it some life on this new card.

 Hello everyone,

I'm here today to tell you about the new

Sweet Stampin Challenge

that starts today with a theme of "Girly - No Pink"

I've coloured with Copics a stamp set from MFT called "Balloon Bundle"
then cut using the die from the set.
Paper is from an MFT Buffalo Brights 6x6 pad
Rickrack border, made from white scraps of paper is also an MFT die

 that was a gift with purchase awhile back.

Apologizes for not being around much lately...had a fall bug that got the best of me but thankfully it's getting behind me now so I should be back visiting you all soon.

where we have a theme of "Cake"

I've made a Reveal Wheel card using dies and stamps from Lawn Fawn. 

The cake is a MFT die. 

 I spritzed bleach on the kraft paper to resemble the texture of a cake.

The Corners are cut using dies from the Spellbinder Gold Elements One set. 

Plaid paper is from MFT Buffalo Brights 6x6 pad.

 MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges die used for cutting the plaid paper.

Hello everyone,

 We are enjoying the last long weekend of the summer.

Our daughter and SIL are popping over for a short visit tomorrow morning.
We will be having coffee and home made cinnamon buns outside on the patio.
Mike is a high school teacher so we will be back to distancing
with the family until we know more.
Those much needed hugs were short lived I'm afraid, and yes I am worried.

Fairies and Fantasy

Good morning,

It's been a very hot week so we are enjoying the small drop in temperature today.

A trip to the farmers market is planned...might pick up some local strawberries 

and do a little baking later....strawberry custard tarts perhaps.

~~~ Backgrounds at Sweet Stampin ~~~

Good morning friends,

I hope you are well and keeping safe.

I finally was able to get my hair cut yesterday...
lots of restrictions but I so appreciate them opening and abiding by the rules.

Was not really lovin my Covid hairdo so this was a real treat to get it cut.

Today starts a new challenge at

Sweet Stampin Challenge

where the theme is "Make your Own Background"

I had so much fun stepping out of my comfort zone for this one.

The MFT stamps are from the "You bring a Smile" set. 

I created the sky using TH Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers ink and a small cloud stencil.

First attempt at this and it took a little tweeking before I was happy.  

For the grass I first brushed on TH Distress Oxide ink Cracked Pistachio then flicked Copic markers

and Polychromo pencil on to create the blades of grass.

All the images coloured with Copics with exception of the bird which was coloured with pencil.

Sentiment is also from the set.

**** Sweet Stampin...Dies & Punches

Hello friends,
Hope you are well and enjoying the weekend.

Time for a new challenge at

Sweet Stampin Challenge

where we have a theme of "Dies and Punches"

I made this sneaker a couple of weeks ago and couldn't wait to show you.
It's a die from MFT...so many clever parts that make up this fun boot.
I've used cotton tread for the laces and Graphic 45 papers for the shoe.

I used an MFT small brick stencil, TH Distress Oxide Ink for the background.
Sentiment is a stamp...also from MFT.
If you click on the image you can get a better look at the detail.
Anyone who knows me..knows I LOVE shoes...so yes these tick a few boxes.

Still no results from my xray ..hopefully I will hear soon.

This is an older Tiddly Inks digital image that I've had for awhile

When she surfaced in my "to do" file I couldn't resist giving her some colour.

You see, she reminded me of myself...yes I, like so many of us, am in desperate need of a haircut!

When I saw her fringe covering her eyes I had to chuckle and thought she was in keeping with the times.    Hair stylists have not opened yet.....hopefully soon.
