Hello friends,

Hope you all ok and safe.  So hard to believe Christmas is only a few days away.

Weather man has promised a bit of snow on the 24th....will be nice if it stays around

for the big day.

I've a card to show you that I made for a special family.

The dies are all from MFT.  Animals have been coloured with copics.

I added acetate to the window then created a night sky with a tree branch just outside.

I stenciled the fireplace with a stencil from MFT and oxide ink.

Bow made with twine then red rhinestones added.

The floor was embossed using a SU wood grain folder.

~~ Sweet Stampin ~~

Hello folks,

Today I have a card for the new challenge at

Sweet Stampin

where we have the theme of "Last Minute Christmas"

Now this was a test for me...yes I am always last minute but instead of taking hours to create, this gem was made in less than 15 minutes!  It took longer for me to decide what I was going to do.  I've cut the tree using a very old Spellbinder die that might just be given a little more love.

SU sentiment stamped with versamark then embossed with gold embossing powder.
Cut out using the coordinating die.  Background embossed with SU softly falling folder
The photo doesn't do justice.. the gold is very shiny which looks great against the black.

~~~~Anything Christmas at Winter Wonderland~~~~~

 Hello everyone,

First weekend in December coming up ...hard to believe that time can pass by so quickly when you are shut in!   I'm still working on Christmas cards (need to complete the insides)  but might actually get them mailed before the end of next week!

Today starts a new challenge at Winter Wonderland where we have an "Anything Goes Christmas" theme. No sponsor this month and team have been given the month off so no commenting but there will still be a Top 3 and as a special treat there will be a GDT spot awarded.

I've created a card using Poppy Stamps Pop Up Easel die set.  I've not used the easel from the set as I find it too small.  Instead I made my own easel for this 5 x 6 1/2" card.

The beige you see is actually a matte gold paper. I've put acetate in the windows, gold gem for the door knob.  MB trees cut in white sparkle paper and set behind the window.

The sleigh is a MB die, as well as the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Quite a lot of work to this one....and no colouring but I was happy with the outcome.

I purchased this stamp in 2010 and made a Christmas card for my twin sister

as I thought it looked like these two were twins.  

It was great to pull it out of its hiding place and give it some life on this new card.

 Hello everyone,

Just a quick post today to let you know of the new challenge starting today at

Fab'n'Funky Challenge #498

where our lovely, super talented team mate Chris is hosting.

The theme is "CAS" ..or cards that are quick to make

I always struggle with CAS...I do hope this one fits the bill.

It was a quick one as I already had the images pre-coloured with Copics.
I used an MFT Square Extraordinaire stencil to create the background.
Images and sentiment are from the MFT Christmas Cheer stamp and die set.

Hello everyone,

 We are enjoying the last long weekend of the summer.

Our daughter and SIL are popping over for a short visit tomorrow morning.
We will be having coffee and home made cinnamon buns outside on the patio.
Mike is a high school teacher so we will be back to distancing
with the family until we know more.

Hope you are keeping well and managing to stay sane during these strange times.

I managed to get out for a walk on Monday but as I schedule this post
 rain is forecast for the next 3 days so the walls will be getting closer!
  I find it difficult to stay focused the best of times 

but this really gives me an excuse!  But enough about me...

I have used a wonderful Pre-Coloured image that is available
 at Sublimation Design Graphics.  

These cute gnomes are quick and fun to use...I moved them together

used Copic T4, T2 around the images to give them some dimension

then added T5,T2 at the bottom to ground them.  Sentiment is a MB die.

I loved their cute hats and sweaters...couldn't have dressed them better.
