Girlfriends

Good day everyone and welcome.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend and Happy Mother's Day to those of you who are celebrating.

Is everyone else crazy busy this time of year.  We've had so much going on lately I've not had much time in my craft room but when I saw the Art Impressions Challenge to use "The Theory of Negativity" I remembered I had coloured this image up and this challenge was the inspiration I needed. The negative part of the Memory Box Oceana Border die was used and I quite like how it turned out.

These gals are so like my friends and if anyone is wondering...I'm the one in the big hat!  You will always find me on the beach wearing my Tilley, hiding under a big umbrella.

More details:
MFT Umbrella die in Kraft paper, backed by SU Baja Breeze
 DP is also Stampin Up
   Sentiment created in Word
Copic Multi Liner 0.3 used to create the scroll border
 Corduroy buttons are from SU
Ribbon - SU Baja Breeze

Thank you so much for stopping by. I really do appreciate your visits.
hugs,
Pat K x

BEAUTIFUL card, Pat. I like the "negative" portion of your post. I would not have thought of doing that. Looks great, and perfect for these sweethearts (wish I looked that good in a bathing suit LOL) Your colors and shading look marvelous. The soft aqua background really lets your characters stand out! Wonderful card. hugs, de

These ladies look fabulous! Love the colors of the image, and what a great idea to add the umbrella die cut to give them a bit of shade! I also like the use of negative space to create the waves. I think you've been really creative with this fun card!

Such a lovely card Pat, great fun image and the wavy border punch (or is it a die?) really gives it the finishing touch!

I thought I'd already left a comment on this fabulous card... and then I remembered I'd gone shooting off using the link to the image - which I've seen around and never known where to get it, so THANKS for the link. Like I said, fab card, ticks all the boxes for me :-) Donna xx
