Skating ....

Good day everyone and Happy New Year!
Wow...my last post of 2012...where did the year go?
What fun it has been for me in blogland. I have met and been inspired by soooo many talented crafters - thank you all for being there.  A big Thank You also to my followers.  I appreciate the time you have taken to comment and your kind words are always so helpful.   I am honoured and hope that in some small way I have inspired you.

The card I'd like to share with you today is a step centre birthday card.  I used a Saturated Canary digi called Nikki.   I couldn't resist buying this one to add to my collection :)

I tried out my new Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone die and cut it in Kraft.  I cut 2 of the TH Pine Tree dies using TH Kraft Resist paper, sponged them with TH Distressed Ink - Walnut.  I cut 2 more pine trees, this time in white and positioned them behind the kraft ones to give them a look of snow.   I used MS snowflake punch around the middle panel, recycled the stars and added stickles to the centre.

Memory Box Frostyville Border die used on the bottom.  The reindeer was purchased last year from WOC as well as the burgundy flower and seam binding.   Tag is a Spellbinders Back to Basics.
Sorry, I did not make note of the Copics but the I know the burgundy was R89, R85 with a bit of R56

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Monthly Challenge - Celebration
Card Mania - CMC#11 Winter Wonderland
Paper Pretties #72 - Winter creation
Tammy's Scrapin Corner - #43 Step Centre Challenge
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - Celebrate

Thanks so much for dropping by and I wish you all a Happy New Year.
Hugs,
Pat K xx

Another Christmas Card

Hello dear friends and fellow blogging buddies.
I hope you all had a great Christmas and the big guy in red was good to you.
We celebrated with family at our daughter's home on Christmas day and it was wonderful.
Now the rush is over and we're slowly getting back to normal.   Yesterday we awoke to over 30 cm of the white fluffy stuff......so pretty when the sun is shining and the sky is blue.

I have a Christmas card to show you today that was commissioned by a friend for one of her granddaughters who's favourite colour is purple. It had to go in an envelope so I kept it fairly flat.   I've used a Saturated Canary digi called Hand Me Downs....hope you like it.

Large snowflake - CB, small snowflake, MS punch.  Sentiment from a set I purchased last year -cut out using Spellbinders circle and mounted on SB scallop circle.  Green layer embossed with TH brick embossing folder.

Envelope made to fit the 6x6 inch card.  Spellbinder tag embossed and left blank to add the name.
Copics:
BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV02

Delicious Doodles Challenge #15

Good day everyone,
Today starts a new challenge at
and we would like to see
Anything but a Card

I've made place cards using one of my favourite holiday drawings by Teri called
 "On a Winter's Day"

I added the names in Word, coloured the bird and highlighted the shadows...just a little.
These came together very quickly....great when you have a crowd for dinner.

Image was printed on Cryogen White which has a wonderful creamy, soft iridescent
Place card made out of Kraft paper
Because I love the vintage feel of this gorgeous image I thought I would sneak in a photo of the Christmas card I made as well.   CAS again and one of my favourite cards this year.

Cryogen white as well, framed in dark red and silver.  Card is SU Very Vanilla
Seam binding for the bow

Fab 'n' Funky Challenge - A Vintage Christmas

Good morning all,
Today is the start of a new challenge at
and our hostess this week is Anne Marie and she has chosen
A Vintage Christmas as the theme.

We have two fabulous sponsors this week and they are
 and

I've chosen an image from Floppy Latte's Digital Designs called Holly Bough
for my card share with another cas design.

I sat down yesterday to start my card ...house was nice and quiet then it happened....chain saws and mulching machines!  Our neighbour had a crew in to cut down a 40 year old tree!  6 hours of mind-numbing noise.....so much for my peace and quiet  :)  At least he didn't schedule them for a Sunday....that's when he usually cuts his lawn.  Like clockwork, every Sunday in the summer, just as we're sitting down to Sunday dinner!   On the bright side...at least he's maintaining the property :)

Enough of my chatter.....on to the details.  Green mirror cardstock has been used to frame the first layer and gold mirror for the Spellbinders Floral Oval.  Seam binding for the bow.   Gold atyou Spica pen used on the bow and SU square lattice embossing folder for the top layer.

Santa Dog

Good day everyone,
I have a fairly simple Christmas card for you today that I hope you will like.
....not too many embellies so it fits in a 6x6 envelope just fine.
I recently won a CRAFT Challenge and was fortunate to choose several digis from Karen's Doodles and couldn't wait to colour them up.   Here I've used Santa Dog and I think he's just the funniest.
He is so darn proud of himself ......struttin' in his Santa suit!

It was difficult to capture the gold metalic stripes in the dp in the photo but irl it is very effective.

DP is from an old SEI 6x6 pad called Silver Valley.   Die is Spellbinders marvelous squares. Sentiment created in word.  Coloured with Copics
Black velvet ribbon used for the bow
