Fab'n'Funky Challenge #213

Good day everyone,

I hope your week is going well.
I've a very busy one as I'm car pooling our granddaughters while their Mom is away.  Our SIL will join our daughter in San Francisco later this week so we will have the girls for a few day which is always a treat.  They really are so much fun to have around.

On to today's post which is for the new challenge beginning today at

The theme chosen by our lovely team mate Pat is Paper Piecing.

We have the wonderful Sassy Studios as our sponsor. They kindly gave us our pick of digi's for this challenge.
My choice was Sassy Showgirl.   Coloured with Copics and  I paper pieced her bodysuit in polka dot paper adding a little shading with W3.

One of my favourite colour combos right now is taupe and grey.
Oh I still like my black & white, pinks and peach but I find this a nice change.
I ordered the new SB feather die but unfortunately it did not come in time for this card
so I used the real feathers from my stash.
The tag is from Magnolia, one of the most versatile dies I own I think.
Bling was from the Dollar Store
Organza flower and jewel from Prima
I coloured her shoes & earrings with a GellyRoll Metallic pen.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Aurora Wings Challenge Blog - Monochromatic
Fan-Tastic Tuesday #32 - Anything Goes

It's a Plane!

Hi everyone,
I do hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend with family and friends and lots of chocolate too!

I've a CAS card to show you today that was made for one of my grandsons.
The pre-coloured image is from Imagine That - Digi's by Kris and can be found here.
Every year the twins go on a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls so I thought Robert might like this card.
This was the closest image I could find and I love the sentiment banner.

Grass punch is a Martha Stewart, cloud stickers from my stash
and the cloud sentiment was made in Word and a MFT die, coloured with Copics.

Here is a picture of part of the inside.  Image and sentiment are from the same collection as above.
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Come and Get it Challenge - Where the boys are
Eclectic Ellapu - One for the Boys
LauralCraft - Challenge #4  Make for the boys

Tag it at TPC Last Challenge

 Happy Good Friday everyone,

The family is coming for dinner tonight so I'm going to be busy in the kitchen.
Our daughter is flying to San Francisco on business Sunday evening so we decided to celebrate Easter today.
I'm cooking sea bass and will serve it with a Moroccan salsa and couscous.
Since one of our granddaughters has a fish allergy I've made a vegetable lasagna for the kids.
We are lucky the grandkids are all adventurous foodies....just like their parents.

Now, on to some sad news. At Totally Papercrafts this will be our last challenge.
I've so enjoyed my time with this great group of crafters
and wish everyone all the best in their new ventures as they go forward.

The theme chosen by our lovely Carole is Tag It.

I've coloured a sweet digital image from our sponsor this week, Crafty Sentiments.
This Harriet stamp is called "Little Friends" and she can be found here.

I had a 50% discount coupon at Michaels that was burning a hole in my pocket so I just had to pick up this Martha Stewart Punch-around-the-page called Flourish Lace.  Such a pretty design..notice the cute hearts in the corner...very clever that Martha!
Tags were cut using Spellbinders Back to Basics Tags and Sizzix Tags Combo #2
The acrylic tag is a Tim Holtz that I added Glossy Accents to the bottom to glue on the design paper.
The butterfly is Memory Box - DP Recollections Simply Pastel

I would like to enter the following challenges:
4 Crafty Girls Challenge #16
As you like it Challenge - Fav is machine stitched - love how it frames the image

Spring is Here at TPS Challenge #154

Hi everyone,
I hope your week is going well.
We're back to winter again with snow and ice pellets arriving yesterday...
just when were getting used to the 17 deg.c temps over the weekend.

On a brighter note we have a new challenge starting today at
with the theme of "Spring is Here"

I've coloured with Copics a new digital stamp called Rose
As with all the sets from TPS you get a selection of pre-coloured or black & white digitals with your order.
It was a difficult choice for me because the pre-coloured image is gorgeous,
but that's no surprise because they all are, but the b&w won out in the end.
I couldn't resist the chance to colour this lovely that can be found here.

 Card size:   5 1/2 x 7 1/2 in.
Spellbinders Grand Label Eleven
Spellbinders Classic Frame
Pink Fran-tage
Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Distressed Ink used on the inside of the frame
Spring is a Sizzix die 655950

There is a great prize for the winner this week so we'd love it if you could play along.

Shaylee coloured for Fab'n'Funky

Hi everyone,

It's starting to feel a lot like spring for us. Temps are moving up with lots of rain which should bring the green grass.  Every morning around 5 am the robins start singing, followed by the cardinals and bluejays (well their song is more like a screech) but quite a symphony in our backyard none the less.

Today starts a new challenge at
and the theme chosen by our lovely Aurore is "Pink"

We are so happy to have the fabulous Artbymiran as our sponsor this week.
The prize to the lucky winner will be 3 free digis

I've coloured with Copics a digi called Fairy Shaylee and she can be found here.

Card base is cut using Martha Stewart Punch-around-the-page Cherish die.
The large butterfly is Cheery Lynn Designs DL132 Lace Flourish Butterfly.
The smaller one is cut using two dies from Memory Box - Moonlight Butterfly  with Kaleidoscope Butterfly mounted on top.
Butterfly border is a Tim Holtz on-the-edge die Butterflyflight.
The frame is cut using Spellbinders Classic Frame.
Leaves are cut using a die from the Spellbinder Foliage die set.
I believe the organza rose is a Prima.
Lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment is from a LOTV stamp set called Vintage Labels Occasions.   The silver ribbon is part of a Webster's Pages collection.

Here is a closer look at Shaylee

I'm sorry I don't have a list of Copics... after I finished the kitchen table was littered with markers and I'm not sure which one's I grabbed in the end.
 I do know the pinks were R85, R83, R81 with a touch of R89.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Artbymiran Challenge #3 - Anything Goes
ABC Challenge: I is for In a Line (shaped card, ribbon, flowers)
Crafty Cardmakers #113 - You've been Framed
Inky Chicks Challenge #26 - Butterflies
Whoopsi Daisy Challenge: Things with wings

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Stay well and enjoy the rest of your week.

Happy Friday everyone,

Here's hoping you had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend.

Today starts a new challenge at
Totally Papercrafts
and as I'm hosting this week I choose "Pastels" as the theme.

I've coloured with Copics a Ballerina from AuroraWings that can be found here.
I challenged myself in creating this vintage style card.
The most difficult part was cutting into the gorgeous Pion papers...and then distressing them!

Card size is 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches
Sentiment is a sticker from KandCompany Flora & Fauna
Shabby Pink Fran-tage embossing enamel
Small rosette cut from The Paper Studio ribbon
Lace from a visit to Buffalo Stamps
Glamour Dust added to her tutu

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Stamp and Create
who are offering a $20. gift certificate to the lucky winner
