Brrr...it's cold outside

...oh just kidding....we are in a sauna here with record high temps but this cute image cooled me off!

Hi everyone and Happy Friday.
I'm back again as promised with my second post.
It's the Snowflakes turn to host this week's challenge at

Winter Wonderland

where our lovely Christine has chosen two themes for you,
Lots of Layers or Wish Upon a Star

My choice was lots of layers using some beautiful design paper
from one of our sponsors this week. Michele R Designs
They are called Winter Frost, available here in the shop.

The image from Mo Manning is called Let's Chill. I've used my new Christmas dies that
have become my favourite...Ice Crystals from Joy Craft and Marianne Designs #CR1345.
These were on that shipment that took weeks to arrive..but so worth the wait.
The sentiment is from the Winter Frost set by Michele R Designs.
Image framed using SB Floral Ovals die

Our two fabulous sponsors this week are

offering  €10.00 (euros) voucher to be used in the shop to the winner

and
offering a £10 Voucher for the store to the winner

Thanks for dropping by today and I hope you can play along with us this week...
it's never to early to get started on those Christmas creations.

Birthday Fairy

Good morning all and welcome to another blog post.
I'm back from a long weekend - what a wonderful way to break up the winter.
It was a 4 day birthday celebration for me as well.  Fun times with family and friends - I am truly blessed.

On to today's creation.   This is the card I sent to my twin sister. She has moved across country and I miss her soooo much.   I thought this image would give her a chuckle....the dreaded birthday fairy is back!
She is of course a Mo Manning digi.  Sorry the pic is a little fuzzy....kinda like me this morning!

Pulled out some dies for this one.
Spellbinders Grand Ovals and Back to Basics Tag.
Marianne Craftables - Clock
Cheery Lynn - Victorian Romance Flourish
Prima Flower
Silk ribbon from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store
Gesso used on the edges of the paper

Fab n Funky Challenge #136 - Sketch Birthday

Hello again,

Two posts in one day...it's been a busy week for me so far :)

We have a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky  and our two
wonderful sponsors are: Stamp Art Design by Kathryne and Joanna Sheen.

Please visit the Fab n Funky blog to see the wonderful prizes being offered.

Our hostess Shirley has a fabulous sketch for you to use with the theme of "Birthday".

I decided to try something I've never done before and came up with a criss cross card, since it fits in perfectly with the sketch.  The tutorial can be found here on the SCS site.  I coloured a Mo Manning Digi called "Wish Big" .  Isn't she a sweetie...reminds me so much of my youngest granddaughter. Just wanna squeeze her :)
