Lacey Birthday

Hi everyone,

I hope you're enjoying the weekend and have something fun planned.

Hubby and I are off to visit friends in the country this afternoon
and it's turning out to be a great day for a drive.

There is no colouring on today's card...just lots and lots of die cuts
using a favourite colour combo of mine...peach & cream.
I had a play with my new Tattered Lace Flourish Corner die...cutting one for each corner.
The bottom die is Double Delights which was free with The Tattered Lace Issue 02 magazine.
The insert on the top was cut using Spellbinders Decorative Labels Thirty Four
Sentiment created in Word and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Leaves were cut using a StampinUp die.
Ribbon from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store
Shape cut using Martha Stewart Cherish Punch-Around-The-Page

Sail away....

Hi everyone,

I'm happy it's Friday...how about you?
The week has gone by so fast...is it because we're all caught up in the World Cup?
I love the excitement it generates...and yes I'm in fear of loosing my voice again.

We might find some time to attend Ribfest this weekend.
Sunshine, best rib contest and cold beer for the boys
...ahhh summer....doesn't get much better.

Okay..on with my card. I ordered a few LOTV art pads recently.
Taking the advise of a few of my craft buddies I touched up the image with a little colour.
Perhaps I'll try coloured pencils next time.
I followed the Sketch provided by Digi Sketch Challenge

The paper is Whimsy Stamps - By the Sea collection
and the sailboat die is also from Whimsy Stamps.
The clouds were cut from felt using a MFT die.
  Sentiment created in Word.
I tried sewing the white felt but since it kept sliding around I only completed one side.
I do have a love/hate relationship with my sewing machine.

The inside is finished as well.

Hi everyone,
I hope you've had a good week.
Our weather is getting very hot and humid

Sorry this will be a long post..with lots of pictures but I really wanted you to see how my album card turned out....I'm so happy with the results.   I followed the instructions given on the fabulously talented Gloria Stengel Scraps of Life blog that you can find here.

I needed to make something special for my favourite Octogenarian and I think this will fit the bill.

The first picture shows the box and front of the card.

The birthday circle was a freebie that Netty generously supplied a long time ago

Shower card

Good day everyone,

I can't believe it's Friday already and the first week of June is almost behind us.
I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend.
I'm off to see the girls dance tonight and both hubby and I will attend tomorrow's performance.
...in the meantime I have a card to show you that I made for a recent baby shower.

Now I know it's not very babyish...is that a word! but I wanted something elegant and since I didn't know the gender of the expected arrival I went with a neutral palette...and it kinda matched the gift.
