Birthday boy

Good evening everyone, hope you're enjoying the weekend.
It's our SIL's birthday tomorrow and I just finished his card.   I do stress over masculine cards  and tend to leave them to the last minute.  I had another card made but when I saw this digi from Digi Darla's I knew it was better suited.   Snowboarding would have been perfect but came up short on my search.

I'm loving this paper pad from Paper House called The Great Outdoors.  So many scenic papers that fit perfect with masculine themes.  The tree is a Tim Holtz die.  I sponged the edges with TH distressed ink in walnut stain and then used a Cover-The-Page Stamp called Spatter, inked with walnut stain again.  Finished it off with several coats of Utee and cracked it just a bit.  The buttons are Basic Grey and the image is coloured with Copics.

Before I go, I thought I would show you how the burning bush outside our home looked this morning. We had 15 cmm of soft, fluffly snow that looked so pretty in the sunlight.

I would like the enter the following challenges:

Bloggers - Birthday
Here Come The Boys Challenge #44 - Bingo (buttons, free, Pattern Paper)

Thanks so much for stopping,
Hugs,
Pat K xx

Gorgeous Pat. Love the tree, buttons and the sewing. Gorgeous snow pic as well. Ironic that it is freezing on your side and we are in the middle of a heat wave here in Johanbesburg.

What a great outdoor scene! The DP with trees and the die cut one are perfect together, and those buttons and stitching make great embellishments for this male card! Well done!

Terrific masculine card Pat, great image and that tree is just gorgeous. Love the photo, it's been raining here overnight so our roads are now clear just left on the gardens.
