I decided to try something I've never done before and came up with a criss cross card, since it fits in perfectly with the sketch.  The tutorial can be found here on the SCS site.  I coloured a Mo Manning Digi called "Wish Big" .  Isn't she a sweetie...reminds me so much of my youngest granddaughter. Just wanna squeeze her :)

Belli Challenge #151 - Back to School

Good morning all,

Today the new theme at Belli Challenge #151 is

Back To School.

I've used a very cheeky digi stamp from Crafts & Me called
Smartie Pants Sammie.
I wonder who will carry Her books?

Details:

The DP is a scrap I had left over from DCWV "The Grade School Stack" and the felt flower is a real oldie - part of a WRMK set called Flower Patch.  The brad in the center is from a Recollections set.

I created the sentiment in Word, cut it using SB Postage die and put it on a black mat.  Black rhinestones are from an old Kaiser pack.

PTW ~ Sketch Challenge

I coloured up the adorable Magnolia Catching Stars with Copics and also got to play with my new Cheery Lynn Mega Flourish Two die and am lovin it.  I think I might cut some TH grungepaper next time and play with colouring it.    The flowers are from WOC and the DP is from Basic Grey Sultry collection.  Edges were inked with Memento Rose Bud die ink.  Sentiment is printed in Word, cut with SB circles.   Heart pin and large pearl are from my stash.

Luna La Lupa - Delicious Doodles

Happy Friday everyone!

I have some exciting news today......I'm one of the Newest Design Team Members for Delicious Doodles........can ya hear me screaming!  Seriously, I couldn't believe it when I received the email request!   I love Teri's gorgeous drawings and am so fortunate to be given the opportunity to work with this lovely, talented group...thank you so much.  I think I've reached my DT limit now....my cup runneth over - how lucky am I.

I created this card using one of the newest digis at Delicious Doodles, called

Luna La Lupa (Wolf Moon)   

 I wanted to keep it CAS because I think the image is so gorgeous!  I love wolves!

Cupcake anyone?

Good day everyone,

Yeah...the weekend is here!     The C.N.E. opened yesterday in Toronto.  This landmark event usually signals the end of summer is near and the kids will be back to school soon. 

   I was excited to see there was a DT call at Delicious Doodles so I thought I would make this card to enter.    I love Teri's designs and have used the freebie they've so generously supplied.  I attempted a sepia look and kept my embellies to a minimum.   Guess I must be thinking of fall with my colour choice or maybe it's because of all the halloween goodies out in the stores now.

 

I created the sentiment in word and put dimentional tape on the coloured image to make it pop up and stand out which fit into Sassy Studio Designs Current Challenge, Pop it Up.

I've created my card using a digi called High Angel that was generously supplied by our sponsor.  Colouring folds is always a challenge for me so this was good practice.  The lovely drape of her gown is so gorgeous.  When I think of angels, I envision beautiful skies and pearly gates so this is how my card came together...

Belli Challenge #150 ~ Winged Things

Hello everyone,

Today at the Belli Challenge #150 the theme is Winged Things.

My design papers are from Graphic 45 ...an older release called Once Upon a Springtime and the sweet digital is from Crafts & Me called Twilight Lily Fae. 

 The beautiful flower is from WOC, along with the lace.  Flower ribbon and leaves are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and have been sitting in my ribbon drawer for quite some time...mmm guess it's called hoarding. 

I attempted a little shabby chic look here (and no stitching !!! - however will it stay together  :)

My contribution is a card using a sweet image from Saturated Canary called Orchard Love. My favourite apple is Granny Smith...therefore she is picking green apples...just for me :)  I've rediscovered taupe lately, coloured her dress using E70 range. Quite by accident the dress took on a look that resembles a silk with slubbed linen look to me :)

Colourful Circles

Good day all,

We are lucky enough to have another long weekend but it's a scorcher today!   Great excuse to hide indoors and watch the Olympics!   No family dinner this Sunday....our kids are up north at cottages so DH and I will most likely go out for dinner...yeah, no cooking!   

I've been playing in my craft room again and here is what I've come up with......an easle card using Grand Nestabilities scallop and circle dies.  The image is a cute Make it Crafty digi called Lizzie with Gift.  Coloured with Copics.  Sentiment is a Die-namics set called Polka Dot Greetings from MFT.

Here's a secret....the bow is paper pieced...first attempt was really, really bad but instead of sending the whole thing to the trash bin...I coloured a new bow, cut it out and put it on top.  The dimentional effect works and saved the day  :)

Fab N Funky Challenge ~ Anything But A Card

I made a gift bag using papers from Basic Grey's "Little Black Dress" collection that I picked up on clearance.  Love the tattered lace pattern...kinda naughty looking :)    I stamped and coloured a stamp from Flonzcraft called "Gibson Girl".    I cut the image into a circle shape, covered it with black netting and attached it to the pleated circle I created.  I then gathered a piece of black netting into a circle and attached the "Gibson Girl" on top, finishing it off with a black satin bow, tied using bow-easy.

Travel at the Belli Challenge

 Oh how I wish I were jumping on a plane right now....ahhhh. 
 I do love the excitement of visiting new places.  

I have an easle card for you today using a Saturated Canary Digi called Tourist.  Matched her up with some very old stickers....perhaps from the $$ store ?  

 I used DP from Basic Grey "Out of Print" and was so delighted I got the chance to use my new eiffel tower digi from Make it Crafty.  I printed it right on the dp.

I'm also working my way thru a package of SU Cameo Coral cardstock.
