Christmas #293

Hi everyone,

I hope you're having a good week. As I schedule this post we are expecting a severe winter storm tomorrow. Just when the grape hyacinth were poking their heads up in the garden
...mother nature is so being tricked this year with all the warm weather we've had.

Today starts a new challenge at Fab'n'Funky and this being the last Wednesday of the month,
the theme is Christmas, hosted by our lovely Ginny.

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps, who generously supplied
us with our choice of digi for the challenge.

I chose to colour Christmas Trio blocks, available here.

Not sure what this design is called...perhaps a Z-fold.  I cut a 12 x 12 inch piece of cardstock
into 5 x 12, scored at 4, and 8 in.  Paper and ribbon is from my stash.  Colored with Copics
Christmas Tag from LOTV

A little travelin...

Hi everyone,
I hope you had a good weekend.
It was a fun one for me as I celebrated a BIG birthday and because of it everyone
seemed to think it was time to "spoil" me...and they did it in style.
I am so grateful to my wonderful family and friends.

Now, it's time for a new challenge at

Our theme this time is "Make it Digital" and I've coloured with copics
a darling image from the shop called Where're We Goin.? available here.

I went very CAS this time and am so happy with the outcome.

A few details:
I used a StampinUp Stamp to create the background in Real Red, Almost Navy and Tempting Turquoise.
Sentiment created in Word and image coloured with Copics, fussy cut and attached with pop dots.

As always there is a wonderful prize for the winner, especially if you use a TPS image.

The Space Race is on Fab'n'Funky

Hi everyone,
Wednesday is here and that means a new challenge at

Our host this week is the fabulous Wends who has chosen the theme
 "The Space Race"
I think the release of the new Star Wars movie
had a bit to do with her selection and what a fun one it is.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is

I chose to colour with copics "Yoda Honey" from Sassy Studio Designs

I must say...I loved making this card.  It was for my SIL's birthday and was it a hit!
The family had binge-watched the whole Star Wars series
before heading to see the new release and "Yoda"was fresh on their minds.
Not mine so much mind you...I had to use Google to remember he was
in kind of a bog and from there chose my papers and die cuts.

The inside of the card read "look as good, you will not"

Details:
I started by tearing some kraft paper, then some adhesive backed cork  and
finally a scrap of  embossed old gold paper.
Added TH vintage photo to the edges.
Trees and Branches are MB Dies
Cheesecloth is used to resemble his tufts of white hair
DP and twine from my stash
Yellow Stickles added to his light saber?
